Rakhi Gibbons

Rakhi Gibbons has been in the technology transfer field for nearly a decade and joins ACABI after serving as senior licensing specialist for Life Sciences at The University of Michigan. Rakhi works closely with faculty and researchers in the Arizona Health Sciences Center (AHSC) and oversees intellectual property at ACABI, AHSC and various life sciences departments across campus. Rakhi has substantial experience in intellectual property, licensing, technology and contracts management, conflict of interest, and start up formation.

In addition to her background in business, she has practical knowledge of life sciences through research with Deltagen Inc., a biotech company in northern California, and Stanford University in the areas of molecular biology and genomics. Rakhi has a Master's in Applied Biosciences from the University of Arizona, and a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences from University of California, Santa Barbara.
