The central component of the ACABI Process is its Creativity Engine — a construct through which physicians, scientists, engineers and other experts work together in a concentrated, focused effort to generate ideas for solutions to unmet needs.
Upstream in the process are two teams — one working to prioritize unmet needs, another working to source innovation. They effectively fuel the Creativity Engine, providing it with challenges as well as building blocks to work with.
Downstream in the process are teams that assess and selectively advance ideas generated through the Creativity Engine, addressing feasibility, funding and commercialization.
