I am a fourth year undergraduate student at the University of Arizona obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with an emphasis on Biomaterials. My projects in Dr. Slepian’s lab include working on non-injury vs. injury migration assays of smooth muscle cells and endothelial cells, studying the effects of various surface topographies of processed PCL films on cardiovascular cells and platelets, and developing an optimal, FDA-approved helminthic therapy delivery system for the novel treatment of auto-immune disorders. In the future, I hope to attend medical school to become a research physician.
