Kaitlyn Ammann

Adjunct Professor, Bioengineering

I am a fourth year PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering.  I received my BS in Biomedical Engineering at University of Arizona with an emphasis in Biomaterials and a minor in Mathematics.  I have previously published research on migration and proliferation of vascular cells.  I am currently researching the effects of direct current electric fields on the migration of vascular cells (galvanotaxis) as well as the effects of processing degradable polymer films on the behavior of vascular cells.  After my PhD, I would like to continue research and development of medical devices in the cardiovascular field in industry.
